An Open Letter To Tove Lo On The "Queen Of The Clouds" Tour

The most inspiring, honest, well done concert I've seen thus far!

The day of the concert finally came, and it would start at 8:00 that night. I left my house around 1 pm and arrived at about 2 pm. As I walked in the cold under a bridge that cast a shadow, I saw your bus parked across the street on the side of the venue. I discovered only 4 people ahead of me. I believe that in situations like these where one is excited and others are also for a common purpose, people tend to connect really well! To be honest, I couldn’t believe that I was even fifth in line, and I had the opportunity to actually see your bus in person! Some people would not see that as an accomplishment but, I sure do! I just remember being pushed and shoved at concerts and barely seeing anything. Suddenly my friend and I were let in early along with the rest of the line. Once inside, we quickly received instructions to buy fast passes to be in the front of the line going in a half an hour earlier than general admissions.

Without hesitation, we were in the front of a new line as I question why life is going so well right now? Finally, at 7:30 we were let in and ran as fast as we could to the gate standing firm in front of the stage where you would perform. I found myself on the mid left of the gate with a spot where my friend and I stood. As we waited for Tove Lo and the push of the general admission crowd we were really in the clouds, daydreaming. We could not believe that we were front row of the concert and could reach our hands and literally touch the black stage that was built inches from us. For the next hour, we watched Erik Hassle perform live who was filled with energy and had a great voice. After performing, Erik introduced Tove to the crowd and waved goodbye. The crowd became more eager than ever as the song “Not On Drugs” began. Your live music mirrors your records - not only are you not lip syncing songs, but you are all over the stage bringing high energy and intriguing movement with you! She sang so well that we wanted an encore!

Listening to you was like turning up your iPod in the comfort of your own room, yet standing right in front of you in person. The artist entertains hundreds and hundreds of people all at once. You not only made it personal and real, you made it unforgettable. Sadly I was unable to meet you due to my friend’s curfew, but I later found out that you met with fans, which is so neat! Overall, it was an amazing and unforgettable experience that I’d like to change the ending to just a bit, but I’ll keep it the way it is.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
