Agent Carter: Review Of Returning Characters

Let me start off by saying that I am very much of a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now you'll have to excuse me because I've never read the comics. But, aside from that, I've thoroughly enjoyed all the movies thus far, as well as the two TV shows. I love the TV shows as much as the movies and tend to find that they're under-appreciated.

I watched the first season of "Agent Carter" last year when it aired and was pleased as punch to hear we'd be getting second season. I was even more thrilled when I learned that the main characters we'd had in the first season would be returning. Agents Carter, Thompson, and Sousa would all be returning to the show, as well as Edwin Jarvis and even Howard Stark.

The premier episode for this season was everything I hoped for and more.

Here's a review of the returning characters from season one, as I loved them and I'm ecstatic to see them back on the show.

To start with is Agent Peggy Carter herself. After WWII ends, we see her working in a New York office of the SSR. She's treated as little more than a glorified secretary, but as we all know from her role in "Captain America: The First Avenger", she's capable of so much more. So when Howard Stark is accused of treason and comes to her for help, she begins a secret investigation. By the end of the season, she's proved her worth to the other agents and cleared Howard's name.

Agent Jack Thompson is the star agent in the office at the start of the season and is running the office by the end of it. He can be arrogant, but there's another side to him that we glimpse later in the season. I hope to see more of his softer side in season two. He and Peggy have a lot of chemistry and it's clear he's crushing on her, but the ship hasn't sailed, so to speak.

Agent Daniel Sousa is the sweetest, most gentlemanly agent in the whole SSR. He and Peggy have formed a very close friendship by the end of season one, but it seems fairly obvious he would like rather more than a friendship. Sousa, in spite of both his limp and his gentle spirit, is far from helpless. They repeatedly make clear that he's capable of holding his own in dangerous situations and doing his job as an agent.

Edwin Jarvis, Howard Stark's butler, is as dapper and classy (and sassy) as they come. Always the gentleman and, though unfamiliar with spy work, is Peggy's willing ally in her season one quest to clear Howard's name. Though they occasionally quarrel, they become best friends during the time they spend working together.

I'll add Dottie Underwood to this list. She was a main villain of season one and appeared in the premier of season two. I believe she was in a precursor of the same training program Natasha Romanov participated in as a young girl. She was working with an organization called Leviathan and escaped their attempts to capture her, disappearing at the end of season one.

All in all, I am waiting with anticipation to see what the rest of season two will bring.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
