Ugh, it's that time of the semester - FINALS! It feels like your brain is going to explode from continuously cramming a semesters' worth of knowledge. Your new best friend right now is espresso or coffee. Furthermore, your life feels like it's suddenly hanging off your fingertips because your only option is to pass every single final! Well, this might be true. However, let's not forget all your hard studying will be worth it when you can enjoy your summer break!

This list I will provide will inform you of affordable things to do in NYC after finishing the worst part of any semester, which is finals. All of these activities can enhance your summer break just after finals. When you're not busy working for those extra bucks for next semester be sure to try these activities. You deserve to have fun after studying and working hard throughout the semester.

1. Have a picnic.

A picnic with friends can be the most bonding and enjoyable experience for a cheap price. If you are planning a picnic you can notify all your friends to bring a food, beverage, or dessert to the picnic. This allows everyone attending to have an enjoyable group experience while enjoying delicious foods at a cheap price. Having a picnic at a big park like Central Park would be a great way to kickoff post-finals life. Also, it should be noted that you can have a picnic by yourself if you don't feel like having a group experience. A picnic by yourself in a park can be a very tranquil experience.

2. Go to a Museum.

Museums are always a go-to place if you're bored or want a place to explore. There are museums all over NYC. Museums are always affordable, and there are countless types of museums available to explore. If you bring your student ID you are likely to receive a discounted price for entrance to any museum. Some museums that might spark your interests are; American Museum of Natural History, Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Sex. You can go to a museum with a group of friends, a date, or by yourself. A museum is always a fantastic place to visit because you can extend your knowledge while viewing plenty of enjoyable exhibits.

3. Attend a concert.

THIS IS THE PRICIEST ON THE LIST, HOWEVER, IT COULD BE AFFORDABLE! Jazz concerts can be not too pricey, also classical music concerts at Carnegie Hall can be affordable for students. Attending a concert can be pricey, but you always find cheap concert tickets online, especially with classical music. I highly suggest any college student to attend a concert with a friend. Attending a concert is a very exuberant experience by the loud music, dancing people, and carefree vibes. You will not regret going to a concert or any other live musical events.

4. Head to the beach.

What could possibly be a better way to loosen up after finals then going to the beach? Taking a walk peacefully on the beach, smelling the sea water, and having sand between your toes is one of the best feelings in the world! Going to the beach is a very affordable activity. You can pack yourself a lunch and put on your swimwear then enjoy a day of ease. The beach is one of the simple cheap joys in life.

5. Laser Tag Battle!

Laser tag is a group activity, and it is loads of fun! You can have a quick exercise trying to hunt your friends down with your laser gun. Laser tag is a very affordable activity with a group of friends. In fact, you can play laser tag at Bowlmor Lanes in Chelsea Piers on a Saturday for a ticket price of $10.19. If you want to plan an active enjoyable day with a group of friends laser tag is highly suggested.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
