Even though a lot of people have already forgotten about fall because they are focused on Christmas, there is no better time to decorate your living space for fall! We still have about a month of fall and Thanksgiving season. If you're like me, you want it to feel like fall in your apartment, but you don't want to break the bank. Here are four ways to decorate your place that won't cost an arm and a leg.

1. Fake Leaves

This is a great way to bring the beauty of autumn outdoors into your apartment. You can find these leaves at places like Dollar Tree. Sprinkle them on your coffee table, armoire, or TV stand! This adds an adorable bit of charm to your place.

2. Door Decoration

Several different door decorations can be found at your local Walmart. I have one that says "Count Your Blessings" on top of a pumpkin. I love these because every time you return home, you are reminded of the wonderful fall season! Not only do you get this reminder, but whoever walks down your hall and catches a glimpse of your door gets to experience the same thing.

3. Fake Flowers

I used to be so against fake flowers. I thought they were kind of distasteful--until I had a college budget to work with. My roommates purchased a bunch of fake flowers that are fall themed at Dollar Tree. They have tones of red, yellow, and orange--the most essential fall colors! The great thing about fake flowers is that no one is really paying that much attention to them, but when someone sees them, they instantly bring that fall feeling to the room. We placed ours in a vase on the kitchen table.

4. Fall Themed Lights

Just like most girls, I LOVE decorative lights! I found some fall themed ones at Target. They bring some much-needed warmth to my room. I've placed mine around a fall sign on my armoire. I love to turn these on in the morning when I'm getting ready for class or at night when I'm winding down from the day with a cup of earl grey.

So if you're feeling like you want to jazz up your living space, all you need is a few dollars and a friend to go to the store with! You can use just one of these ideas, or combine them all to bring the fall spirit to you and your roommates.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
