Congratulations, you did it! High school will always stick with you in your memories, and you have your entire future ahead of you. Get ready for all that is still yet to come. You’re going to do great things! Here are 17 tips for your future (especially ones you need to hear about college).

1. Hold the memories of high school with you. You will not get to experience an atmosphere like that and with all of those same people again.

2. Keep in touch with your friends from high school. Make it a point to Facetime or visit them throughout the year.

3. With that being said, know that many friendships will fail. But that’s okay.

4. You will meet so many new people. Your name game will go zero to 100.

5. If someone asks you to make plans with them, always say yes. You will not regret it.

6. College is all about late night adventures (mostly to the library and Taco Bell). Say goodbye to your bedtime.

7. Some things are out of your control. Take it one day at a time.

8. Don’t forget to call your parents. As hard as it will be for you the first few months, it will be 10 times harder for them.

9. DO NOT REGISTER FOR THAT 8 AM. It may seem possible, but on the first day of classes, you will realize it is not.

10. Naps are your friend.

11. Use some type of calendar to keep track of due dates. Professors are more likely to help you out at the end of the semester if you are on top of everything throughout the semester, not just the end.

12. Make frequent visits to the gym. You won’t notice the Freshman 15 until you have to put your swimsuit on at the end of the school year.

13. No one cares what you wear to class. Unless you look cute and actually get ready. Don’t be that person.

14. Be yourself. Don’t try to fit in with a certain group because I promise you that you will find your people. Everyone has a niche no matter where you are.

15. College is not high school. Don’t bring the drama with you.

16. Embrace that you are a freshman. Attend all freshman events. You should even do stereotypical freshman things. Like carrying around a campus map with you on the first day of classes.

17. You are about to have the time of your life. Get excited.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
