Advice to my 14 year old self.

1. Make friends before high school starts, you literally do not know anybody.

2. Don't wear that.

3. Don't ever dye your naturally blonde hair pink at the tips with Kool-Aid, you will have to cut it out after about a year of it not fading.

4. Don't date that sophomore boy just because he's older, you'll regret it.

5. Be friends with boys, they're actually really fun to hang out with.

6. Be nice to your teachers. They really do want you to do well.

7. Don't overdo the PINK body spray.

8. The girl's bathroom is on the LEFT. Seriously, listen to this one. Trust me.

9. Pay attention in class.

10. Babysit as much as possible on the weekends, you're not missing out on much.

11. Stay away from 4Loko.

12. Don't trust the first person you meet.

13. Don't let the rumors get to you, there will be a lot.

14. Do your homework.

15. Don't lie to your parents about where you are.

16. Getting drunk doesn't fix your problems.

17. Don't throw a party while your parents are out of town.

18. Go to every football game.

19. If you're blackout drunk, do not go to the football game.

20. Make a point of asking your mom how her day was when you get home.

21. Don't complain about walking to school, your legs will thank you.

22. Your boobs are fine, stop buying bras that are too big.

23. Wear your retainer.

24. Don't laugh at people.

25. Listen to good music.

26. Learn a thing or two about fashion.

27. Have fun and don't take life too seriously, you're 14.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
