October 23rd, 2015. This was the day Adele release her first single of her new album. The single, "Hello," is perfect—of course—and will give you all the “feels.” Not only did she release the single, she released a music video to go with it. With the release of a new song and a set album release date, this calls for a reflection on her past albums.
Adele’s albums:
- Her first album,"19," was released in 2008. Most people only know the song "Chasing Pavements" from this album. The album content consisted of songs that reflected who she was and the different situations she had been through up to her age of 19. Even though I was in eighth grade in 2008, I knew then that Adele’s talent was something raw and real. After doing chores and begging my mom, I bought her album. I did not have an iPod or mp3 player at the time, but I had a compact CD player. Adele’s music was what I was listening to on the bus before and after school.
- Her second album, "21," was released 3 years later in 2011. "Someone Like You" and "Rolling in The Deep" were the most popular songs from this album. Like the first, the album reflects her life experiences up to 21. I also bought this album, duh.
- November 20th, 2015 is the set release date of her third album. The album is titled "25." As with the other albums, I’m guessing this one will reflect her life experiences at 25. Believe me when I say that on November 20th, I WILL be listening to her album.
The tracklist for the album has already been released:
1. Hello
2. Send My Love (To Your New Lover)
3. I Miss You
4. When We Were Young
5. Remedy
6. Water Under The Bridge
7. River Lea
8. Love In The Dark
9. Million Years Ago
10. All I Ask
11. Sweetest Devotion
A deluxe version of "25," available exclusively at Target, will include three bonus tracks: "Can’t Let Go," "Lay Me Down," and "Why Do You Love Me."
I guess you could say that the true Adele fans have grown up with her through her music. I CAN NOT wait until her new album comes out, but for now I will continue to listen to Hello at least 10 times a day.
"Hello"—Adele
