We've all hit that point where it seems that our efforts have failed to produce the result we have desired, consistently. It's too easy at that point to simply want to cut your losses and just give up. There are certain instances where this is the right thing to do of course, namely, when you step back and realize that your goals are not realistic and that you need to spend more time gaining experience before you approach the subject again. Too often though, when people reach this point, they forget about it and move on. Consider how important this idea is to you. Is it worth picking up the pieces and learning from my mistakes?
Truthfully the answer is always yes, but it is especially true in instances where all you needed to do was reflect. Why did I fail? What can I do differently for the next attempt? Think about the idea in a different light. Ask people for advice, and gain different perspectives. You will usually find that you were looking at the idea from a flawed perspective, or that you didn't fully flesh out enough details. Too often we tend to make quick judgments about things and forget about them before considering other points of view. It is important to remain perceptive to alternatives. Use this advice to keep hammering away at your goals. Don't give up on your dreams just yet, if you have the will, you have the way, you just need to follow through!
