I’d like to think that many years from now, you can look back on the words I write today and know my thoughts as I walk this earth, awaiting the day I finally meet you. To me, meeting you will be the day that we both acknowledge each other and the way we feel about each other.

Since you know me, I’m sure what you read will bring a smile to your face, since that’s what I find most beautiful about you. Not a day passes where I don’t think about who you are and where you are. As of now, you’re a blank canvas waiting to be filled. The many women I interact with during my days allows me to paint that canvas with many possibilities of who you are. I’ve been able know my likes and my dislikes, the things that captivate me and the things that rub me the wrong way. Through the observations of other couples, I’ve been able to grasp the idea of how things could be with us. Through the many possibilities, I see it as nothing short of an amusement park ride that I wouldn’t want to end. I know the first thing that will catch my attention will be your smile, it always does. With your physical beauty appealing to me, I would be interested in seeing what lies beneath it all. Is it something that resonates with who I am or a mere façade of something great and nothing more? I know that you’ll have that something that resonates from within and will complement the outer features most appealing.

I look forward to exploring the corridors of your mind and soul in order to gain a better understanding and appreciation of who you are. The laughs we share will be entertaining because let’s face it; as goofy as I can be and as crazy as you are, it’s unavoidable. The initial time getting to know each other may start of a little slow as I adjust to you and there might be certain cues I may not pick up, you’ll know I can be a little oblivious at times. However, it’s your patience and understanding of these certain habits of mine that will keep me by your side as long as you will have me.

I look forward to when I can introduce you to my family and friends as someone who puts a smile on my face every day. I also look forward to meeting the people that are important in your life and pray that I’m someone that they can acknowledge. Personally, your acknowledgement is the only thing that concerns me but in that aspect, I’m traditional and prefer to be on good terms with your loved ones.

On the days that you’re sad, expect me to remain by your side until the rain in your heart dwindles and subsides. On the days that you’re angry, expect me to do what I can to brighten your mood, even if that means doing nothing at all. Know that I don’t expect everything to be perfect. I understand we will have disagreements and there may be arguments between us. But know that with our disagreements, we’ll work to come to an understanding and agreement, even if that means me letting go of my pride for the sake of peace when the issue is petty.

The quiet nights together will be peaceful. The crazy nights where we have a little prosperity in social settings will be hectic. Either way, we’ll manage. But the perhaps the one thing I will love about you the most is that I’m on your mind as much as you are on mine as the day comes to an end. Until these days come to a head, know that I’m on my way and that I won’t keep you waiting. Upon reading the conclusion, have I stayed true to what I said back then? You be the judge.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
