It's Time For Us To Accept Change And Make A Difference

It's Time For Us To Accept Change And Make A Difference

There are a lot of diverse opinions about our generation and how we are acting towards social, political, and just overall issues occurring within the world around us today. Some say we aren't doing enough, yet I feel as if our progress isn't being marked, just overlooked by the mass population of the world. We are speaking on behalf of what believe in and giving one another a platform to do so which is truly amazing. If we could get everyone to do something they are passionate about and spread a message that they want people to listen to, the opportunities could be endless. By not doing this, are we accepting the possibility of no progress within the human race?

Yes, we are which makes it absolutely concurrent that we need to be moving and reaching our goals even if they seem far-fetched as those who came before us definitely did during their own time. We don't think enough about the present as we are always jumping to the future and what the world could be while we just become frustrated with what it's become. If we just stopped for a second and paused, changes could actually be made and conversations could be approached without fear or discouragement from others.

Everyone in this world is constantly nervous to speak upon matters that are important to due to the questionable aspect of hurting someone's feelings or being judged horrendously for a simple opinion. If we accept the changes that are occurring in the world and actually listen to one another, we could create peace within our own ties with the people in our lives which we disagree with. Just stopping for a second to smell the flowers and listen to someone else's story might help you resonate and figure out another way to approach a problem that many people could be dealing with at once. There are so many steps that we've taken already in accepting each other and what one may like as the other may not, so why are we still having difficulties in accepting these changes?

Progress is continuous and the more that we do, the more will be accomplished and we will be able to be a voice for one another as well as a companion. Why should we work against each other when we could work together to actually create positive changes instead of negatively speaking upon what is occurring as we aren't doing anything within our own individual lives to push the change forward. Change is good and making an impact with a direct situation that you may be able to control within your own life, may be the start to a new beginning of working with others to create change for the world around us. I know you may think your voice is small and your platform is minor, but you have a voice and an opinion that could be used to speak to so many people with the thoughts and ideas that you're passionate about.

Whenever you say anything, truly mean it and realize that the change that you want in your own life, as well as the generation, could be impacted by what you say and how you treat people. Sometimes we tend to forget that actions speak louder than words, so say what you mean and do what you can, and life may work in your favor.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
