Above & Beyond returned to New York City on January 27th to play a packed stadium show at Barclays Center in support of their new studio album Common Ground. Fully equipped with an arsenal of new tracks, Above & Beyond once again lived up to their name in what was an intricately weaved performance of emotions and energy.

Anjunadeep artist Yotto opened first, setting a chill ambiance to start the night while right after, Andrew Bayer quickly intensified the arena in preparation for Above & Beyond's two hour set. Exactly at 10pm, Above & Beyond came on stage to a roaring crowd, revealing the two members for this show: Tony and Jono.

High energy graced the beginning of Above & Beyond's set with a remix treatment of "My Own Hymn," "Tightrope," and "Another Chance," while spiderweb-like lasers first dropped in to accompany the building tension during "Salva Mea 2.0." New tracks, like "Naked" and "Happiness Amplified," also panned out incredibly well in their execution for an arena show.

The entire stadium flooded with strobe lights and dancing bodies as A&B continued to lead the pace of the show into faster beats, only to turn in a suddenly different direction. An electrifying "Balearic Balls" transitioned into "Northern Soul" with the previous intensity culminating in euphoric calmness. Richard Bedford's voice on the track was joined by thousands of others in an emotional, defiant, yet uplifting ode to Detroit. Shortly after, the same effect was repeated, but with Justine Suisse's voice on "Alright Now."

Towards the end of the set, A&B revisited older tracks like "Black Room Boy," "Satellite," and "We Are All We Need." Closing out, the push-the-button moment went to fan-favorite "Sun and Moon," and the final track of the night went to "Always," with golden light dusting over the raining confetti as sole piano chords played out. On the screen, A&B's signature typing displayed:

"It's beautiful to be able to find common ground with you all".

At the heart of every Above & Beyond show lies a genuine passion for uniting people through music. Above & Beyond's ability to tear you down to your most vulnerable, but bring you back up to your strongest in unison with everyone around you, is undeniably their most profound impact as well as their personal gift to the dance music community. Common Ground comprises a pack of new songs, new lyrics, new vocals, but all in all carries the same message that Above & Beyond has always strived to push.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
