Everyone knows about the Underground Railroad, the 19th-century movement led by Harriet Tubman to free African American slaves in the South. The real question is....do you know it is happening right now? No longer with race, but with children. Children around the world are being trafficked for sex. Most people don't know its happening.

Operation Underground Railroad is an organization that saves children from sex trafficking and arrests the traffickers. Operation Underground Railroad was established in 2013. In the past two years, O.U.R. has helped 591 victims and stopped 250 traffickers. O.U.R. has brought together the world's experts in anti-child trafficking and extraction operations to bring an end to child slavery.

"To the children who we pray for daily, we say: Your long night is coming to an end. Hold on. We are on our way." This is their promise to kids being trafficked everyday.

The process for O.U.R. is:
1. Assess the feasibility of rescue.
2. Research the location.
3. Design a strategy for a way to get the children.
4. Take action.
5. Recover the children.
6. Arrest, and capture the traffickers.

O.U.R. is made up of former CIA, Navy SEALs, and Special Ops that lead the other operatives and the efforts. The operations that they undergo are always in conjunction with law enforcement departments and governments around the world. They fight for the lives of children because they believe that no child should be a sex slave.

I personally think that it is extremely important for people to recognize that sex trafficking IS happening, all around the world, BECAUSE so many people are not aware. I didn't realize that it was happening until I someone showed me the O.U.R. website.
