Since freshman year, Stonehill has slowly, but surely, become my home. I walk through campus with so much pride, knowing, not only, that this is where I live, but also that this is where I will become a better, more intelligent and mature person. Throughout my Stonehill journey thus far, I've become extraordinarily familiar with the Stonehill community and what makes someone a Stonehill student. With that being said, here are the ABC's of Stonehill College:

A is for Ace's Place:

B is for Bridges:

Which one? The heights bridge? The orange bridge? The commons bridge? The O'Hara bridge?

C is for Clock:

...and all the Instagram pictures of it.

D is for Daddy's Dairy:

They have Stonehill-styled sprinkles and accept HillCards. What more can you ask?

E is for Expenses:

...because our school is mad expensive.

F is for Friends:

Gotta thank Stonehill for bringing me to some of the most wonderful people I've ever met.

G is for Grass:

...and watering it even when it's raining.

H is for The Hill:

Drunk, 1 am Mac'nCheese Bites and Motz Sticks sounds like home.

I is for Instagram:

...and all the glorious Stonehill Campus pictures on it.

J is for Junior Courts:

Courts parties aren't exactly fun, but we all go anyways, don't we?

K is for Keys:

....and trying not to lose them because if you do, you'll spend the next hour looking for an RA and forming a plan to distract them from looking into your room when they open your door because you have an illegal pet and a handle of vodka sitting out.

(Not from experience)

L is for Library:

We spend all our time there in the week to justify not touching our backpacks over the weekend.

M is for Midnight Madness:

#HillYa

N is for New Hall:

...and being thankful to go there instead of the courts.

O is for Owen's:

Unfortunately, only students who are 21 have ever been.

P is for Parking:

Don't even get me started. As soon as someone has a valid reason for why Stonehill decided to let freshman have cars on campus the same year they shut down half of Lot 17 for construction, please, let me know.

Q is for Quality:

...not quantity! Stonehill may be small, but we're extra special.

R is for Roommates:

...or suite mates or whoever you get the pleasure to live with. It can be difficult at times, but in the end, you know it's a blessing to live with all your best friends.

S is for Sodexo:

...and all the stomach aches that follow.

T is for To-go Containers:

I mean I'm certainly losing a ton of money because sometimes I get things in to-go containers when I'm eating at the dining commons, but oh well. Sometimes I get food in plates and then take them back to my room with me, too, so I'm just full of surprises.

U is for Ugly:

...because that's how I go to class- sweatpants and t-shirts.

V is for Vineyard Vines:

Rich people go to Stonehill. I don't fit in.

W is for Wifi:

I'm honestly just used to having sh*tty wifi. As I type this, my words are minutes behind me because my wifi is so bad. Nothing works.

X is for Exes:

Stonehill is such a small school. If you date someone or have any sort of relationship with anyone that doesn't work out, you will see them everywhere.

Y is for Your Future:

...because Stonehill is where your future plans becomes a reality.

Z is for Zzz's:

Make sure you get enough of these! Personally, I can't function with less than 10 hours, but that's just me.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
