I used to be exactly where you are — going to the gym to workout and get in shape, but having no clue what to do once I was there. I remember that it was a daunting task. Going on the internet to google exercises and workout routines, and then actually having to make myself go alone and attempt to actually do those workouts. I hated every part of it, and I remember being miserable because I saw no results and felt like a failure.
Until I found 9Round, that is.
9Round is a gym right here in Tuscaloosa, and the first time I tried it, I was hooked. It's a 30-minute workout, full of loads of kickboxing basics and a ton of fun. Here are nine things that make 9Round so great.

2. There aren't any class times
Just show up and start working out. No scheduling, no planning your whole day around your gym time. Just. Show. Up.
3. It only takes 30 minutes to do the workout
30 minutes?! That's less time than an episode of Pretty Little Liars! That also means no more excuses about not having enough time to go to the gym. (Fun fact, Shay Mitchell's favorite exercise is kickboxing. There's some motivation for you).

5. It's UNLIMITED workouts
With a membership, you have unlimited access to the gym. You could come twenty times a day if that was humanly possible. It's not, but you could.
6. You get all of your own gear
Boxing gloves, handwraps, even a nutrition guide comes with the membership! And you get to keep them. Who doesn't want to own their own pair of boxing gloves? (If you don't, you must have never watched "Rocky," and you need to get your life together)
7. You get community
Bring a friend to share in your sweaty misery. Kick butt together, get stronger together, die together (let's be honest). Then go grab a coffee together at one of the many local coffee shops nearby. It will be great, right? Right.
8. You get to look really cool
Once you figure out how to wrap your hands on your own, you feel like a straight up boss doing it. Knowing the difference between a jab and a cross really makes you look good. Being able to hit the speed bag more than three times in a row- even better.
9. You get a personal trainer included with every workout
Don't know how to do a proper lunge? Not sure what a roundkick is? Not good at pushing yourself through a tough workout? There's a trainer for that. Every workout has one included, someone to walk with you every step of the way. Someone to keep you going for that last thirty seconds. someone to make you do that last set of burpees.
I personally loved the workouts so much, I decided to apply for a job (for the free workouts, of course). Now a 9Round trainer, I may sound a little biased, but I guess you could compare it to a fast food workout that still eats the food they sell. It must be good, right?
