Procrastination, it happens to the best of us. There is always something else you could be doing than homework. Between the events that are happening on campus, basketball games, and community group there is always a way to find your way out of doing assignments or anything on the to-do list. This semester I am taking fives classes and honestly have seen myself procrastinate so much. After looking at my life, and the life of a few of my friends, I have found a few ways that procrastination happens in college.

1. Napping

Honestly, I just woke up from a nap and it was the best thing ever. Whenever I have a lot of homework or stress on my plate, I always take a nap. Even if I know I don't have time.

2. Coffee

We are all guilty of saying "Oh yeah, I am just going to take a quick coffee break" and then end up wasting time at the coffee place, or just standing in the kitchen with our coffee in hand.

3. Going on Buzzfeed

Buzzfeed is awesome but once you take one quiz it's just a trap because the next thing you know you just keep clicking on the next quiz and then it's six o'clock and time for dinner.

4. Facebook

Facebook is the worst because it's so easy to get distracted from what you are supposed to be doing and just scroll through Facebook.

5. Working out

I don't really like going to the gym but I find myself usually thinking that if I go work out at the gym, then it will help with the stress of the schoolwork I have to do. Going to the gym can relax you so that you can come home and do that homework assignment.

6. Clean your room

I know I always get bothered when my room is dirty. I hate when my desk is a cluttered mess, so sometimes I find myself taking a break from my homework that I don't want to do to, make my bed, and clean my cluttered desk.

7. Online shopping

Online shopping is so fun, and I always find myself just searching through DSW or Target online for clothes and shoes that I really don't need. This is such an unproductive way to procrastinate because I don't ever end up ordering anything.

8. Watching TV

Today after my roommate went to class, I told myself that I was going to write my Odyssey article and finish some homework. I ended up turning on the TV and "Fixer Upper" was on so I ended up watching TV and falling asleep instead.

9. Reading a book

I love to read for fun. Any type of Christian book I can get my hands on, I usually end up loving. What I don't like reading is my history book and my economics book. I tend to procrastinate so much with my reading assignments by reading books that I enjoy instead.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
