9 Ways To Keep Your Lipstick On All Day

Do you ever have the problem where your lipstick just comes off? You keep reapplying but then magically it is gone within 15 minutes of just putting some back on. The struggle is too real for me, so here are some tips to help you keep your perfect pout all day.

Exfoliate your lips! This will help you get rid of any of the skin that makes your lips feel chapped and dried. There are multiple ways that you can do this. You can either use olive oil and sugar, mix equal parts of both, and gently rub it on your lips. If you do not have olive oil, you can use chapstick for a substitute. This will make the lipstick application smoother.

Hydrate! Keeping your lips hydrated is probably the most important things to have for a perfect pout. It will make application so much easier!

Line your lips! This not only helps your lipstick stay on but also helps it blend better. I personally feel as if my lipstick ends up staying on longer when I wear liner.

Translucent powder! This one is slightly more complicated but in the end it keeps the color on for a while. The steps to this are: line your lips, put your lipstick on, then take a piece of single ply of tissue and hold to your lips. Then take a brush with the translucent powder and pat it on your tissue colored lips.

Lip stain! If you keep your lips moisturized then this type of product is perfect for you. If you get the right one it can last through a burrito from Chipotle.

Lip primer! I have never personally used one but I have heard that the best one is Bite’s Lip Primer.

Matte lipstick! It is said that matte lipstick is supposed to last longer than satin or shine lipsticks. Plus matte lipstick is very popular during the upcoming season.

Use lip gloss sparingly! Even though gloss can make your pout look lush it dilutes the color of your lipstick. Just place the gloss on the center of lips to make them look fuller.

Blot! Blotting gets rid of any extra lipstick that is left on your lips and keeps the color there without being too much.
