We've all come across at least one of these girls on campus.

I think it's safe to say that my childhood wouldn't have been what it was if it weren't for the many Princesses of Disney. They filled my life with hope, dreams, and admiration. I didn't grow up with my head in the clouds believing that my Prince Charming would come along one day and sweep me off my feet so we could ride peacefully into the sunset on his white steed. That just sounds silly. But it gave me hope that one day I could find my Prince Charming and even though everything may not automatically become perfect after true love's first kiss, everything might get a little easier. I was able to escape the cruel intentions of this world for about 2 hours when I slid one of my many VHS's into the VCR. But when I entered college, you can bet I definitely didn't lose my love for the Disney Princesses and in fact my love has only grown. I like to believe that there's a deeper meaning behind each Princess, but after my freshman year at school I started to notice some eerie similarities between the girls I met at college and the classic Princesses. No doubt you know at least some if not all of the people on this list.

The Boy Crazy Friend

,

Yes, this friend resembles Ariel 100%. She daydreams all day about any boy that crosses her path, but can't even muster up the courage to say hi. She's the friend that hides behind you when her crush walks into a room and loses her tongue when he approaches her.

The Friend That Naps ALL Day Long

We all know someone who does nothing but sleep. Like, you're not even sure if she goes to class and every time you text her you get a response an hour later saying that she was sorry and just woke up. But you're so confused because she doesn't even go out that much.

The Girl That Never Goes Out

This friend has no social life whatsoever. Maybe you guys hang out during the day but when the weekend comes along and you ask what her plans are, she always says she's staying in. She either has laundry, homework, or a Netflix show to binge-watch that night. Going out to party's or social events just aren't some girls' prerogative, and that's okay.

The Working Girl

You know that one person that is working whenever she's not in class or doing homework? That's this girl. You can't reach her ever because she can't use her phone at work and you stopped asking her to do things because you know she'll say she can't because of work. She's a motivated and driven friend and probably one you want to have in your life because she's so dedicated to her work and will only push you to work harder.

The Feminist

This friend is also someone you want by your side. She is one tough cookie and knows that she can do anything a man can do. She will inspire you to step beyond society's standards and be more than just a pretty face. And no, she doesn't hate men.

The Free Spirit

She follows her heart wherever it takes her. You look at her with a hint of envy but mostly admiration because she has no fear of the future or of blazing her own trail. She doesn't understand the need to conform and only wishes to stay true to herself. She's the girl that will go where no one has gone before and pushes the boundaries. She can be a very fun friend, but just be careful because her free spirit, although inspiring, can sometimes lead her into trouble.

The Girl That Only Has Guy Friends

Oh yes, we all know a girl like this. Every time you see her she's with a different guy and they're walking to class, eating in the dining hall, sitting in the library together, or hanging in her room. If someone were to ask her if there was anything going on with any of them, she'd laugh and say they're just friends. She'd even casually sneak the fact that she "only has guy friends because there's less drama" into conversations you'd have with her. But let's be real, is there really? Any drama I've ever had in my life has mostly involved men.

The Innocent Girl

She knows nothing about anything. Sometimes you wonder if she lives under a rock (or maybe locked away in a high tower). When it comes to boys, partying, or sex, she has an I.Q of close to zero. She had no exposure to anything in high school and she likely had VERY strict parents. Be patient with her, after all it's not her fault. But be sure to watch out for her because these girls tend to go off the deep end.

The Girl That Loves Frat Boys

We all know the girl that is in love with the frat boys. She's pretty gullible and will believe just about anything they say to her to get her in the sack. She loves the idea of being with someone who has what she considers "standing" on campus. She wants to be with the in-crowd and to her that means hanging out and dating these kind of boys.

The Sorority Girl

She's the beauty that all of the guys on campus swoon over. She's seductive and you hate to admit it but even you find yourself staring a little too long. She's the girl that every guy wants to date and the girl that every girl wants to be friends with.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
