When we look back on our favorite shows, we always remember that one couple that was just too perfect. They were soulmates, undoubtedly, and the writers knew it too. That's why they always got the huge, dramatic and perfect engagement episodes. And every time we watch them, we hope that one day we get to have our own beautiful engagement story.
1. Barney and Robin
Every time I watch this episode I tear up. Throughout the series we learn all the behind-the-scenes plans that Barney has, and they're always complex and incredible. But this one takes the cake. In the final play to get a woman, Barney proposes to Robin in one of the most spectacular ways one could imagine. It's beautiful, elegant, and everything Robin needed to know that she wasn't another number to Barney, but actually just the one.
2. Leslie and Ben
Again, I cry every time I watch this scene. Leslie is known for always chasing her dreams (being wildly successful, inspiring the next generation, meeting Joe Biden, all that jazz). And in this episode a dream she never even knew she had came true. Leslie and Ben are the epiphany of what a perfect couple is. Supportive, adoring, and so lovable.
3. Jesse and Rebecca

4. Monica and Chandler
Yeah, okay, whatever I cry for this one too. But only because Monica and Chandler cry first! In a total twist of events, two best friends, who never imagined being married, ended up falling in love with each other.
5. Jim and Pam

"I knew it was going to happen [at some point], but I didn't know when it would...I was so excited when it did though because I LOVE those characters."
6. Cam and Mitchell
In the season 5 finale of "Modern Family," Cam and Mitchell finally got married. After already forming their family and expressing their commitment to each other, this proposal was more about showing how much they love each other than it was planning a future. This one was really cute because they both wanted to propose in a fun and adorable way, but, while changing a flat tire, they just looked into each other's eyes and knew all of the things that they wanted to say to each other.
And thanks to the Supreme Court ruling, I hope to see more beautiful same-sex engagements that'll make me cry just like the others I've named here.
7. Will and Lisa
This one was a complete surprise, even the audience didn't see it coming. After Will ends up in the hospital, Lisa stays with him, sleeping on the uncomfortable couch and drinking the crappy coffee from down the hall. Right before he's about to be released, Will crawls out of his wheel chair and yells for Lisa. She comes back, asks what happened, and Will tells her a cheesy line about falling for her. It's one of the first times we see an honest, real love that Will shares with a woman. And while it was a shock, it was still very sweet.
8. Topanga and Cory
Throughout the series, there were several proposals between Topanga and Cory, which only foreshadowed to when Topanga actually proposed to Cory at their high school graduation. In our hearts we always knew they'd end up together; they were made for each other from the beginning! This proposal, though, means so much because they were so young and already ready for their bright future together. Topanga could have been at Yale and been very conventionally successful, but she chose a future where she knew she would always be happy and comfortable: with Cory.
9.Luke and Lorelai
From the beginning of the series, we could sense that Luke and Lorelai had this great connection. We could just feel like they were meant to be together. And when Lorelai finally proposed to Luke, in the middle of him stressing out about Rory and acting like a real, responsible father, it was like the stars had aligned and finally made everything right.
