The sweet smell of summer is in the air, and for Milwaukeeans that means one thing: Summerfest. Billed as the "World's Largest Music Festival," it's 11 days of nonstop fun — it just can't disappoint! There is something for everyone, too, whether it be, country, rock, pop, or even rap. And, for the little munchkins, there's children fest. Here are nine things to look forward to.

1. Realizing just how old you are

When you see middle schoolers left unattended, you can't help but wonder where their mom is and if she knows just how naughty her child is acting.

2. The bus ride

The buses. They're cheap and they stop drunk driving. Win-win! This is the time when everybody starts chugging whatever they're drinking, so that means rowdy buss rides.

3. Largest music fest

For 11 days, you get to experience the sounds of joy from your favorite musicians. The best part is that half of them are on free stages.

4. The heat

People will stand in the hot, blazing heat all day long for hours just to see their favorite artist perform. If this is not dedication, I don't know what is.

5. The creepers

Apart from the wonderful music, there will always be the little nasties who won't leave you alone and just need your number likes it's oxygen.

6. Squeezing through crowds

In order to do Summerfest right, you need to be able to squeeze through the crowds to find to perfect vantage point for the concert.

7. The smells

The smells of hormones will fill the air. Girls will usually be sporting too-short crop tops and too-skimpy shorts. Meanwhile, boys will be wearing the classic bro tanks and probably a snap back.

8. Location

Is there any better way to enjoy a concert than by also seeing the gorgeous Lake Michigan?

9. The memories

No matter how crazy of a time you have, you'll always how the memories to looks back on with a smile. As Fall Out Boy said, "Thnks fr th mmrs"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
