1. Zuko's entire storyline.
Just everything. From his character development to his surprising season three arc when he joined the team he had been trying to literally assassinate for years. (Remember Combustion Man?) But the most amazing part of his development, I think, was his reunion with his uncle, who, of course, readily forgave him for his betrayal and his obsession with his honor.
2. When Iroh got ripped in prison and literally no one noticed.
3. The time Katara was told she couldn't train with the Northern Water Tribe because she was a girl but the Waterbending Master changed his mind because she demolished literally all of his students.
And then, of course, became the Northern Water Tribe's star pupil. "I'll be outside if you're man enough to fight me." Excuse me while I scream for 17 minutes straight.
4. When...you know.
I still haven't stopped talking about this.
5. When Yue was like "nah" to her arranged marriage plans and sacrificed herself to save the world.
Of course, as kids, it broke all of our hearts. But she literally turned into the moon and that's more than anyone else can say.
6. All those times Suki was never afraid to kill a man.
She was such an amazing female role model to look up to as a kid! Suki wasn't a bender, but she proved that you don't need to be to still be able to crack a few skulls and be a hero.
7. When Bolin made this face.
8. When Azula was the one of the most interesting villains we'd literally ever seen.
An evil Empire of evilness? Sure, Avatar did a great job with that trope, though it's something we've seen countless times before. But an overly-ambitious, self destructive, literally insane Fire Lord lady with some sort of God Complex? Literally epic.
9. When the Boulder met his maker...
And she was blind.
