If you know anything about me, you know I am obsessed with Christmas and the holiday season. Being done with the fall semester of school, spending time with family, and not to mention all of the great food to eat, who wouldn't love this time of year? If you love Christmas as much as me, here are some things you'll totally understand.

1. It's never too early for Christmas music.

Trust me. I started listening to Christmas music in October this year. Sure, people gave me weird and judgy looks. But did I care? Nope, because I was just a lot more jolly than them! You're not a true "Christmas lover" until you program the Christmas-music station into your car for the season.

2. Christmas shopping requires a spreadsheet and major planning.

You have to get the perfect gift for everyone on your list. This requires major planning in advance and getting the best deals before they're all gone. Sometimes, all of your Christmas shopping is even done before Black Friday.

3. Baking. Always baking.

I am not sure what it is about this time of year, but baked goods just always sound good. Christmas cookies are always the way to go. And you typically go all out when making them.

4. Each night is a different Christmas movie.

25 days of Christmas? Yeah, you'll watch them all. Each night you can watch a different Christmas movie and guess what? You totally will.

5. Your house looks like a winter wonderland.

Okay, so your house kind of looks like Santa threw up in it, but you're not ashamed. Your roommates ask to help you decorate but you offer to do it alone because you just find it that fun.

6. You always leave the store with a new Christmas decoration.

Going to Target during this season is always dangerous. You'll always end up leaving with a new Christmas pillow, ornament or winter-scented candle. There goes all of your money for buying Christmas presents! But seriously, did you need another Santa figurine?

7. That perfect Christmas outfit.

You definitely have to wow your family on Christmas day with that perfect Christmas outfit. Maybe you want to dress like Santa this year, or perhaps an elf?

8. You have to do all of the activities.

Ice skating, seeing the lights display, visiting Santa - you have to do it all. Most of the time, the Christmas activities are geared towards younger kids, but you won't let that stop you from telling Santa what you want for Christmas.

9. Opening Christmas presents is the best.

Okay, no one likes to admit that they actually love receiving presents, but c'mon. Who doesn't love getting Christmas presents? Spending time with family giving and receiving presents on Christmas morning has got to be the best.

There is no shame in admitting you're a geek for Christmas. It only comes around once a year, and it's so much better looking forward to Christmas than being a grumpy ol' Scrooge. Happy holidays!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
