All of the snow and rain leads to a lot of staying inside and complaining about all of the cold and the rain. With winter well into it's coldest days, I can't help but think about the warmest ones and my favorite place to be when the sun is hot, and I've got time to drive a few hours to Jersey Shore.

1. Ice cream, ice cream, ice cream

From Kohr brothers to Polish Water ice, ice cream is just better on the boardwalk!

2. And of course, pizza

With countless pizza places, everyone has their favorite (mine’s Big Slice), but the truth is, hardly anyone goes to the boardwalk without grabbing a slice at least once.

3. Boardwalk shops

Whether you actually ever buy things from the cute, little shops along the boardwalk, you never get tired of walking up and down the boardwalk, going into the surf mall and looking at all of the cute bathing suits and souvenirs you don’t need.

4. Morning bike rides

Waking up early on vacation is a personal choice, but what’s nicer than getting to see the sun rise over the beach?

5. The boardwalk at night

The lights from the Ferris wheels and the shops make such a pretty picture. It makes you nostalgic for childhood and excited about going on all of the rides!

6. The weather

Yeah, yeah, it’s overcast more often than not, but who wouldn't be happy with some Ocean City beach weather right about now?

7. Salt water taffy and fudge.

Can’t leave the beach without it, right?

8. The fun random things to do around town.

Parasailing, mini golf, surf lessons and more, especially if you go every year, you find out how much there is to do that you wouldn’t think of.

9. And finally, the beach!

I know that what everyone misses the most is laying on the sand in the hot sun, playing in the waves and feeling the (scalding hot) sand beneath their feet! Even with way too many people per square foot and a much too high chance of getting pooped on by a seagull (or getting your food stolen), I know Ocean City is where we all wish we were right now!
