Finals season is upon us. Some of us are finished and some have a few more to go. The uphill battle is coming to an end, and now we must do the things that will help us wind down. Whatever you like, from drinking to bubble baths, there are some things that will help realign some peace within that the endless hours of studying threw out-of-whack.

1. Wind down by working out

Chances are, during the last few weeks of school your workouts have been scarce. You either do not have the time or the energy. Now is the time to get back into the rhythm of working out regularly. Working out will relieve some stresses while putting you back on a healthier track.

2. Binge-watch that show

Binge-watching a show while school's in session can be a dangerous game to play. You either have to put off your studies, put off your social life or walk around sleep-deprived. Now is the time to begin watching the shows with the 45-minute episodes that you just cannot ignore.

3. Sleep in and rest up

If not now, when? Whether you are off to an internship or to summer courses, rest up now and allow yourself to sleep in a bit longer. Your brain needs the break from all outside stressors.

4. Read that novel you have held onto since the beginning of the semester

Chances are you bought a novel weeks or months ago and you have not gotten past chapter two. Now is the time, during the calm after the storm, to continue reading your novel. Before you know it, something will come back into your life and you will be too occupied to read all over again.

5. Go chill by the pool

Go for a dip and wash all the finals stress off. Let the sun soak into your skin and the water dampen your hair. Float carelessly and refresh yourself with a cool drink.

6. Have some alone-time in the coffee shop

Find the best coffee shop in town, get a hot mug of coffee submerged beneath designed foam, and sink into your seat. Enjoy the taste of coffee instead of drinking for its jolt.

7. Make plans and keep them

Reach out to your friends, whether they've been away at college or have been MIA from school work, make a set plan, and keep it. You and your friends deserve it.

8. Treat yourself to something expensive

Whether you have been meaning to color your hair, buy a new dress, or eat at an expensive restaurant, you have earned it.

9. Work on your side project

Time keeps moving and the duties are never-ending. This might be the perfect opportunity for you to continue working on the project you have started up/have been meaning to begin. Get something done: this project is for you and you only.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
