Ever seen something, heard something, or even done something that you have no idea why it has any relevance to anyone? Well, I have. This article is dedicated to those random things that are incredibly popular throughout our society today for no reason at all. We all know some of the things I'm talking about, and I'm sure everyone is guilty of at least one of these things. You may be thinking well if they're irrelevant, then how did it get so popular in the first place? In all honesty, I could not answer that question for you except to say that trends spread quick.
1. Crocs
Okay okay, I know they're "so comfortable" and "versatile", but really? Crocs, I mean have you seen them?
2. Oversized T-shirts with Nike Shorts
I myself along with half of my college campus am guilty of this trend. It may not be cute, but boy is it comfy.
3. LipSense
I guess it's the new trend to sell on Facebook, but who wants lipstick that stays for days.
4. Gray Dad New Balance Shoes
No, these are not cute. Don't wear them you look like a dad.
5. Light Up Tennis Shoes
Okay you're cool your shoes light up. What are you going to do if you step in a puddle? Or the battery dies? Now you just have regular shoes.
6. (Oversized) True Grit Jackets
Yes, the overly fluffy jackets that everyone is raving over. And yes I do indeed have one of these and I absolutely love it, but it swallows me whole as it does most people.
7. McDonalds
Who eats here unless you're broke or drunk at 1 am?
8. Willingly Eating Gluten Free
I myself have to eat gluten free, and I absolutely hate it, therefore I don't know why anyone would eat GF by choice. But hey, props to you!
9. Heely's
Yes, they're convenient and make getting around quicker, but once again they're not cute and should not be worn anywhere outside your house.
I know many people may not agree with some of the things on this list, or maybe many of you will be guilty of some of them. And that's fine if you don't agree, because we all have different opinions. But maybe if you own something on this list you'll think twice about it, and really decide if it's relevant for a good reason, or for no reason at all.
