As a Student that is transferring from high school to college, there are many things we need to do. It gets to be really difficult trying to fit this all in during our last summer before adulthood. These are just a few of the things we plan on doing this summer.......
1. WORK....WORK.....AND WORK SOME MORE
we have so much stuff planned for before college, during college, and after that we need to work as much as possible. Which means taking on as many shifts as our body can take, and our managers allow.
2. BUY SUPPLIES FOR COLLEGE
this is the main reason we will have to work all the time. All our supplies add up! And don't get me started on how many times we will look up what we need.
3. DO COLLEGE EVENTS
everyone has orientation for college, and there are often many events to attend. Wouldn't you feel better if you knew the area we you live in for 2-6 years? Maybe even meet some friends for the next school year?
4. HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS
we hang with our old friends, maybe for the last time, and just relax before college.
5. HANG OUT WITH FAMILY
our families will be upset that we are leaving and plan on spending lots of time with us before we leave for college.
6. LOOKING COOLER
some of us plan on dying our hair (if you are a girl especially), or getting new tattoos. While others shoot for the limit and buy new clothes to impress their peers.
7. WRITE THANK YOU NOTES
everyone will be writing these, for the sweet gifts we got from family members and family friends. The gifts reign from money to a pack of gum, and we need to acknowledge them all. Even that strange gift we don't know how to use.
8. GO THROUGH AND CLEAN THINGS OUT
we finally get rid of that foam finger from a concert we held onto for 2 years, I mean what would we do with it? We take down our collage of our favorite celebs, giving up that stage of our fandom lives. We no longer feel we should obsess, that is unless they are beautiful and we don't want to. ;)
9. DO WHAT WE WOULD NORMALLY DO
we would be lying if we said we planned on going to bed early and waking up early on our days off. We will continue to go to parties, and play on our phones constantly. We will never leave that stage of our lives.
