Movie buffs or as I think of them, people with movie obsessions. These people live and breathe movies like their lives depend on it. When people say Netflix and chill, it is actually just Netflix with them for hours on end. You probably know one or maybe you are one. If you don’t know one, I am so jealous of you. My roommate is completely obsessed with movies and there are certain things I have to deal with because of it. Don’t get me wrong, I love her to death and her rants on movies do appeal sometimes. But most of the time I get tired of the constant quotes and references that I don’t, and most likely, will never understand.

Movie buffs, they’re great for movie recommendations and random trivia. Most of the time, they can be tamed, but if you insult their favorite movie you will get slapped. If they meet another movie buff you never hear the end of the movie rant. They’re a special breed that can only be taken in certain doses.

So if you know a movie buff, you can probably relate to these ever-present attributions.

1. "Have you ever seen...?"

The inevitable question that follows when they make a connection to a movie or want you to see a movie. My other roommate and I have learned to simultaneously respond “no” whenever asked.

2. Quotes, Quotes, Quotes

Movie quotes are considered their second language. They will use movie quotes in any situation. It reaches a point where you'll think they're quoting a movie when they're not.

3. You will be forced to watch movies you don't like

You just have to fake smile and pretend that you're watching. But really just make sure they don't see you have your phone out. As long as you pretend you liked it you should be good.

4. They don't understand why you don't like certain movies

They will try to convince you forever of why it is a good movie and won't understand your reasoning for not liking it. Just give in to the fact that you'll never win that argument.

5. They will make you watch their favorite movie

My roommate's favorite movie is Lord of the Rings. I was 45 minutes into the first one when I got bored and couldn't pay attention anymore. I tried at least and that's all that she cared about. As long as you make an effort to watch their favorite movie it should appease them.

6. Movies and TV shows tend to mix

Movie people tend to be TV people too because they're very similar. They'll mix it up on you and throw TV quotes or references in to really confuse you. Just when you thought you getting better at understanding, they'll switch things up on you.

7. They give great movie recommendations

One of the positives of movie people is their endless movie recommendations. They have seen an enormous amount of movies that you could never fathom, but this means they know exactly what to tell you when you want to watch a comedy or a sappy love movie.

8. The movie theater is probably their second home

The employees there probably know them by name and know exactly what they're coming to see. They live for the popcorn, candy, and big screens.

9. "Can we watch a movie?"

Every night is movie night to them. When your group of friends is bored on the weekend, or even during the week, they will suggest watching a movie. Even once you finish one movie they will suggest another. It's a neverending cycle.

Movie people can be a lot to handle, but they're just sharing what they love with you. So you should feel special that they're sharing a cherished part of their life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
