It’s crunch time, but you’re just not feeling it today. Whatever it is you HAVE to do, it might not even be that bad, but the fact of the matter is, having to do it is already bad enough. Darn it, you just don’t wanna! Instead of doing the thing you’re supposed to be doing, try one of these alternative activities to feed your thirst for procrastination.
1. Netflix binge
Whether you’re looking for a sappy drama or chilling thriller, there’s bound to be a show out there to keep you from doing what you need to be doing. Want to waste a half hour, or maybe a whole weekend? Netflix and Hulu have the fix for you!
2. Clean EVERYTHING
Despite the fact that the festering splotch in the bathroom has been there forever, now is suddenly the time you MUST clean it. Why stop at one room? It’s high time you scrubbed every inch and speck of dirt from your humble abode. At least you’re doing something important! No one can argue this isn’t absolutely necessary.
3. Stare aimlessly
What a nice wall. Wow, that spot really does look like a dog if you tilt your head that way. Oooh, a squirrel is climbing the neighbor’s tree. Better stare at it for an hour.
4. Nap
Maybe if you go to sleep now, you’ll wake up refreshed and ready to work later! Probably not, but worth a shot, right? Better get started on those Z’s right away.
5. Make plans
So if you do nothing you’re supposed to be doing now, you could potentially schedule time in later. But that would get in the way of your nap, and your show is on that night so nothing after 7 p.m. Hmm, maybe you need to book a spa day…
6. Google EVERYTHING
Ever wonder what happens when you type your name into Google? Or what type of dog you would be? Or what flavor potato chip your soul is? These tough life questions are begging to be answered, and you can’t in good conscience walk away from potential answers.
7. Watch one thousand cat videos
Aw, how cute! Another furry little distraction! Okay, one more, then you'll get something done.
8. Pin things to not do for later
DIY pallet couch? Heck yes! What about a giant knit blanket? Definitely going on your to-do list, right next to that meal prep and bathroom makeover that may or may not ever be happening.

No one can say you did NOTHING today. It’s just not quite the right something.
