8 Ways To Relieve Stress Before Finals
Roland Bullivant

It is 3 weeks before finals and there are a whirlwind of emotions that include stress, anger, sadness and the hope that you'll be able to make it to the end of the semester in one piece.

Here are some fool-proof activities to do to help de-stress and to have a little more of a bearable last three weeks of the semester:

1. Listen To Music

Listening to music has such a good effect on your brain. It has the power to change your thinking and what you are feeling, at any given moment. Music can affect you and can decrease your stress.

Here is a playlist of stress-reducing music for some inspiration.

2. Talk To A Friend

Your friends have significant healing powers. Just to spend time with them and ranting to them about your day and what you are going through is very therapeutic. Seeing your friend and spending time with them will help you de-stress much faster.

3. Make A List Of Your Goals

Your goals are very important. It is even more important to write them down and hang them somewhere you can see them everyday. Being able to see your goals gives you more motivation to work towards and achieve them. Writing your goals down helps you start to make a plan on how to achieve those goals.

4. Scream Into Your Pillow

Sometimes screaming is the best way to get your stress out. Grab your favorite pillow, take a deep breath and scream out all of your stress.

5. Eat Your Favorite Food

Food is the way to the heart. Eat your favorite food to your heart's content. A full tummy equals a happy brain.

6. Treat Your Self

Treat yourself! Either do it on your own or get a few friends together and wear some face masks, put some cucumbers on your eyes or any type of routine that helps you relax and feel refreshed.

7. Take A Shower

Showers are another way to feel refreshed and give your brain a quick break. Taking a nice cold or hot shower will help you wash away your stress.

8. Have A Mini Dance Party

Mini dance parties are fun little breaks you can take, either by yourself or with some friends. Turn off the lights, turn up the music and dance your stress off. Play exciting dance music that makes you move your body and shake that stress off.

Here is a playlist that will help you shake the stress away

Go forth and do well on your finals! You can do it, I believe in you!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
