This month, the beloved movie Anastasia comes to Broadway, and here are 9 reasons why we can't wait for it.

1. The Animated Film Finally Has a Live Action Version

Instead of jumping straight into a live action movie, it opted for a stage adaptation instead.

2. 6 Returning Songs

Favorites like "Once Upon a December" and "Learn to Do It' are back.

3. And Several New Ones

You can't have an adaptation without new music.

4. We Get To See Our Favorite Characters

Besides Anya, we get to see Dmitry, Vlad, and the Empress again.

5. And Our Favorite Power Couple

Not many can top this dynamic duo.

6. Enough Changes That It’s Fresh

The stage musical offers a closer telling of the real story of the Romanovs (aside from the truth that the real Anastasia did die).

7. But Enough Nostalgia That Keeps Us Hooked

We’re still following the same general storyline from the 1997 film.

8. Ramin Karimloo

Known for the 25th anniversary performances of both Les Miserables (Enjolris) and The Phantom of the Opera (Phantom), he will be playing the play's new villain.

9. Christy Altomore

Famous for her performance in Mamma Mia, she will now grace her presence on the stage as Anya herself.

Anastasia arrives on Broadway on March 23rd.
