Rachel and Ross are one of the most iconic TV couples of all time, let's be honest. Up there with Chuck and Blair, everyone knows that Ross and Rachel's is the kind of relationship everyone wants. But, let's get real, they are dysfunctional. Ross cheated on Rachel, even if they were on a break, and they break up and get back together too many times to count. Monica and Chandler are the real goal-worthy couple of Friends. Here's why:
1. They care about each other and it shows
When Monica gets sick, she's determined to ignore it so she can sleep with her husband. Chandler knows she's too sick and literally won't let her. That's love.
2. They're relationship isn't complicated
They don't break up and get back together one million times. Once they get together, it's mostly smooth sailing.
3. They make sacrifices for each other
There's one point when Chandler almost has to move to another state for work and Monica really doesn't want to. Eventually, she realizes she would give everything up just to be able to be with him. Of course, this doesn't end up happening, but she was willing to do it.
4. They were friends first
They spent years being really good friends with each other before they realized they had feelings for each other. They already knew each other's weird quirks and even after they got together, they stayed friends.
5. They know how to make each other laugh
No matter how silly it is, they always know how to cheer each other up.
6. They didn't rush into things
Chandler is the quirky, funny, sarcastic guy that everyone loves. He's extremely afraid of commitment throughout the whole series until he gets with Monica. He's never afraid to commit to her.
8. All of the foreshadowing
Once you watch the show knowing how it ends, all of the Chandler and Monica foreshadowing is so obvious.
9. It's impossible not to love them
Seriously, how could you watch this gif and not swoon?
Ross and Rachel's dysfunctional relationship has nothing on the pure love that Monica and Chandler have. They are so much more to look up to than Ross and Rachel. Good job, "Friends," for making the most perfect couple ever.
