In a population of 7.125 billion people, we all enjoy some gratifying words of wisdom. Regardless of the situation we may be in, we appreciate and acknowledge something as simple as words. Maybe you found yourself having a really bad day? Or even a great day? So great you have to actually stop and take in the moment? After taking in the moment you stop and think about a bible verse or your favorite quote that you live by. Below are a few quotes I enjoy living by that you might too.
1. “Everything happens for a reason”
Basically don’t bring yourself down when things don’t go your way, there’s a reason why this happened and something good may come from it.
2.“Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.” ― Dory (“Finding Nemo”)
In other words, just keep on going. Don’t stop.
3. “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” ― Oscar Wilde
There’s no reason why you would want to be like someone else. Don’t compare yourself to another individual, be the person you know you should be.
4. “Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.” ― Dr. Seuss
Memories are some of the best healing tools, but don't dwell on them.
5. “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.” ― Bernard M. Baruch
Irrelevant people in your life will always have an opinion, but they don’t matter.
6. “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.” ― Oscar Wilde
Just because we are breathing doesn’t mean that we are alive, we must chase after our happiness.
7. “I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” ― Marilyn Monroe
Nobody is perfect, we all have flaws, but if someone can’t look past them then they don’t deserve you at all.
8. “In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.” ― Robert Frost
Life does not stop for anyone.
9. “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt
This is probably one of my all time favorite quotes. Every time someone makes me feel bad about myself, or has something negative to say I remind myself of this quote. I do not approve of their negativity therefore it does not affect me.
