With the new President-Elect, many people think that the world is going to end and basically think that we are doomed. Well, news flash...we aren't. You can get on any type of social media profile and see some sort of opinion on the election results and let me tell you, it is a bit old. So here are some positive things that we still have in life to look forward to every day.
1.) DOGS
I'm sorry but dogs are absolutely great!!! You can not tell me that you do not feel the slightest bit of joy when you see a little puppy learning about everything for the first time. Which by the way, to all the people that may be moving to Canada because Trump won, some parts do not allow pit bulls so have fun with that.
2.) CHRISTMAS
IT IS CALLED THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR FOR A REASON. You very rarely see anyone that upset about it being Christmas. Everyone is happy and cheerful, you get to visit family you have not seen in a while, ugly Christmas sweaters are amazing, you get to give people presents, and oh yeah Baby Jesus and Santa stuff are EVERYWHERE.
3.) PARADES
Whether you are watching them on TV or in person you can not help but smile while watching it. You can not be upset or angry while you watch the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade. It just does not work that way.
4.) BALLOONS
Seriously most everyone is happy around balloons. Some may be afraid of balloons, but it's always fun to kick around balloons and see how long you can keep them up in the air.
5.) PIZZA
I should not have to explain this one honestly.
6.) REALITY TV SHOWS
We will always want to watch and see who gets a rose, who wins the mirror ball trophy, which toddler won the tiara, and which real housewife ruined a dinner by throwing a class at someone. It keeps us from worrying about the issues sometimes and even makes us thankful that we do not do that.
7.) DISNEY MOVIES
It is really hard to be negative while watching an old Disney movie. Animated Disney movies and Pixar movies also make us forget about the real world for a little while. You also may get a catchy song from a movie stuck in your head for a few days.8.) PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES
This may be the stereotypical white girl coming out in me but seriously any good pumpkin spice latte automatically makes my soul ten times happier. Even a pumpkin spice frappuccino is pretty good on a hot fall day (if you do not live in the south then you probably do not understand.)
9.) FAMILY & FRIENDS
At the end of the day, you still have tons of people who love you, care about you, and want to see you be the happiest you can be. And I am sure they do not want you upset ever.
So yes the election results may be unpleasing to some, and great for others. But just remember these 9 things that still make the life great.
