Nothing quite gets me going more than a good song. However, what about those days when you really just need some motivation. Whether it be motivation to get over a bad relationship, or motivation to love yourself some more, these nine songs are perfect to make into a playlist for those days when you're tired of feeling down.

1. "I Look So Good (Without You)" by Jessie James

This is for those of you trying to get over that boy that always had you feeling less than you are. This song is all about how great you are and can be on your own. You don't need anybody else to know you're worth because you look your best when you love yourself. The lyrics themselves explain it all when she sings "Hey, I never would have thought that when you left me I'd feel sexy and so good in my skin again and I would never have known that I'd be dreaming so much better without you in my head."

2. "Rise Up" by Andra Day

This song makes you feel like you can do anything and everything. It's all about taking something that seems impossible and rolling with it. Prove everybody wrong, and make something great out of a bad situation. Don't be lazy, do what you can and especially with this song playing in the background, you will feel on top of the world.

3. "Sorry Not Sorry" by Demi Lovato

Now this one is similar to the vibes you get from I Look So Good (Without You) but with a little more sass and twang to it. This song is more of Demi saying "I'm better off without you, look how cool and hot I am." This is the time after a breakup where you're feeling yourself and won't let anybody bring you down.

4. "Girl In A Country Song" by Maddie and Tae

This one is for all my ladies out there who have ever felt put down or objectified for being a woman. This song is all about being fed up for being overlooked or stepped on because of how men think women should act. We aren't things! We are people! We have feelings! Get that into your head!

5. "Survivor" by Destiny's Child

You know what they say, it's an oldie (kind of) but a goodie. This is for those who thought they couldn't come back from either a heartbreak or just something that really knocked them off their feet. It's saying that they won't give up trying to get back to their normal selves or even better, move further.

6. "Brave Honest Beautiful" by Fifth Harmony

This one is all about self-love and believing in yourself. Everybody gets down on themselves from time to time, but this song reminds you that there are so many things that you are great at and all you have to do is focus on them. Take a look in the mirror and remember that there is nobody else who is just like you.

7. "We Got The World" by ICONA POP

Besides the fact that this is THE ultimate windows down jam, it will actually make you feel like the world is in your hands. If the lyric "live fast, fly young, every day we celebrate just like we won" doesn't get you absolutely pumped, I don't know what will. But also listen to that, find a reason to celebrate every day because you are alive and there is always a reason to be happy.

8. "Unstoppable" by Sia

The lyrics and title are pretty self-explanatory. This song is powerful and inspiring to show people how strong you are. Be tough, don't let your guard down and don't let yourself feel inferior to others.

9. "(What Doesn't Kill You) Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson

And finally, the most obvious of the bunch. The message in this is loud and clear. When you get knocked down, get right back up and make something out of it. Find the silver linings in every situation. Don't dwell on whatever happened, make sure it doesn't happen again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
