Now that I am 21 years old, I feel it is now appropriate for me to write an article related to drinking.

Memorial Day Weekend is here and many of you are probably going to be enjoying the 3-day weekend and attending a few barbeques. Instead of bringing a host/hostess gift or contributing a dish to the party, here is a list of drinking games you can contribute instead.

Slip Cup

This fun summertime game is set up and played exactly like the classic game of Flip Cup, but with a slip n slide at the. However, the only big twist to this game is that it is played with only 1 person on each of the two teams drinking at a time and that person slides down a slip n slide, chug their drink, then go tag the next person. It's a perfect game for a hot summer day!

Rage Cage

The.Best.Game.Ever. This game goes by a few other names like Stack Cup or Chandelier and it is kinda complicated to understand at first, but after a few rounds you'll get the hang of it. The intensity of this game get higher as the stack gets higher.

[Drunk] Jenga

Jenga is originally a childhood game, but with a few sharpies this game can turn into a bunch of drunk fun! Which ever block you pull out of the stack, you must complete what it says to do.

King's Cup

King's Cup is one of my favorite group drinking game. It can be a little confusing at first, but once you figure out the "rules" for each card, it's very straightforward.

Roxanne

My second favorite group drinking game and the funny thing about it is that my mom is the one who taught me how to play. This is a funny way to get the party started as a "warm up" game, in my opinion, to get you that initial buzz. Split everybody up into 2 teams then play the song ‘Roxanne’ by The Police. Team 1 drinks when they hear the word ‘Roxanne’, and Team 2 drinks when they hear ‘put on a red light’.

Beer Ball

... Or Four Corners... I've never actually played this game, but I've watched plenty of friends play it that it is a great game to contribute to party! Each side has at least two beer cans. Then each player throws a ping pong ball at the other side. If the ball hits the can the player that made the throw chugs their beer until the other team can touch toss the ball to each player on their team then touch it to the table.

Thunderstuck

This is absolutely one of my all time favorite drinking games. Very similar to Roxanne, but to the song Thunderstruck by AC/DC. Everyone sits in a circle with a drink in hand. The first person starts drinking the first time "thunder" heard. They can’t stop until the word “thunder” is said again. Then next person begins. This continues around the circle until the song ends. As learned from personal experience, the more people the better, like at least 5 people or more. Also, R.I.P to the person who has the unfortunate luck and gets the minute and a half part.

Shot Roulette

The best way to play this game is to fill x amount of shot glasses (or cups) with vodka, y amount of shot glasses with vodka, z amount with Malibu and the rest with water. You don't have to set it up this way specifically, but it's just to give you the overall idea of the game. Once all the cups are set up, using an empty bottle of any kind, spin the bottle and which ever shot glass the bottle lands on you have to drink. The fun of this game is you don't know what you are going to be taking a shot of!

Beer Pong

It's pong, one can never go wrong with pong.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO DRINK RESPONSIBLY :)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
