Thanksgiving. While a full meal and gathering around the dinner table are to be expected, here are some things you are also bound to encounter.
1. Football
Football is a big Thanksgiving tradition, because who doesn't want to watch people exercise while stuffing their face?
2. Bloated Stomach
If you are doing Thanksgiving right, this will happen to you. Cooking and enjoying a full meal is what most people think of when they think about Thanksgiving. So, you might as well live it up to the fullest.
3. Turkey
Smoked turkey, roasted turkey, whatever kind it is, turkey better be there. Turkey plays a significant part of the becoming bloated process.
4. Sleep
If you're a college student, Thanksgiving will seem like you first big break from everything school-related and getting to eat a real meal. While procrastinating writing papers and getting ahead of studying for finals in the next couple weeks, sleeping in and not having to worry about going to class for a few days will truly be a blessing.
5. Crazy Relatives
We all have at least one. We love them dearly and they will also probably provide 50 percent of the entertainment on Thanksgiving Day.
6. Peak of Fall Clothes
Fall is in full swing during the time of Thanksgiving, when most of the leaves have and are still falling, and boots become a daily necessity.
7. Shop
Following Thanksgiving is Black Friday. The biggest shopping day of the year, some tend to avoid it, but most people get their Christmas shopping done during Thanksgiving because of this. And who could resist the temptation of fall clothes with great prices?
8. Shop on Amazon (more than usual)
Again, Christmas shopping is in full swing and Amazon is perfect for it. As well as treating yourself with another, probably unnecessary, Christmas decoration.
9. The Beginning of the Christmas Season
YESSS CHRISTMAS. Real talk…unless you're the Grinch, Christmas is probably one of your favorite times of year, and now that Thanksgiving has passed, it’ll be time to start celebrating.
