All girls need to have a guy best friend. Having the opposite sex as a best friend has many benefits for both friends. Girls often do not understand guys and guys especially do not understand girls so it’s a great connection to have to not only understand the other sex but also have a great bond that does not compare to your best girl friend. Here are some benefits of having a best guy friend.

1. They stay out of drama

It is so refreshing to step away from the catty drama of being around girls 24/7. Your guy best will always find a way to put a smile on your face and will only help you with your problems not add to them.

2. They are trustworthy

They will always keep your secrets and always listen to your daily rants about your girl friends and current drama.

3. They translate texts from your current love interest

One of my favorite perks of having a guy best friend is that you automatically have a guy to decode texts from your current lover. Guys know how other guys think so they can help you reply and decipher if the guy is worth your time and energy.

4. Its not awkward to be alone with them


Y’all are so comfortable around each other (practically like siblings) it doesn’t matter if its just you and him by yourself.

5. They are always straightforward

They never paint a pretty picture for you to what seems like a bad guy or a bad decision you are making. They will tell you their opinion about the issue even if its something you don’t want to hear.

6. They never judge you

Yea they’ve seen you really drunk or cry about that loser guy you were with but they never judge you. They know you aren’t perfect and they don’t expect you to be.

7. They are down for whatever

Want to go on a boat, build a bonfire, or even go downtown on a Tuesday? Call up your best guy friend and he will always be down most of the time.

8. They are freaking hilarious

They always know what to say and do to put a smile on your face. No matter they actually meant to make you laugh or they were just doing something stupidly hilarious.

9. He has your best interests in mind

He will always protect you like a best friend or even sister. He will always have your back and love you no matter the circumstances.
