8 Types Of Guys You Meet In College
Justin Luebke

If you are like most girls beginning college, you are looking for a fresh start. You are enthusiastic when you see a campus full of extremely attractive guys, and become even more excited that you went to college single. You eventually come to realize the different kinds of guys you come across. Here are 8 types of guys you meet in college:

1. The Snapchatter

That guy you meet that instantly adds you on Snapchat, and will only communicate with you in Snapchat. You open up a Snapchat from him, and if you don't reply right away, he continues to Snapchat you until you reply. He doesn't want to text, talk on the phone, or hang out - he only wants to Snapchat.

2. The Drunk Texter

You know that one guy's name that lights up on your phone every morning with texts and calls from 2:00 a.m. When you see him on campus, he's always apologizing for the night before. You really like this guy, but you never know his true feelings for you since the only time you get flirty messages are when he's drunk.

3. The One That's Too Available

There's always that one guy that you really like, but when you start to get to know him, you realize just how clingy he is. This type of guy is way too available, and may begin to invade your personal space. He's constantly asking you to hang out when you are studying, in class, with friends, and etc. You wonder how someone could have so much free time while you barely have time to make yourself dinner.

4. The One That Plays Hard To Get

So, you meet a guy in class or at a party that you sense an instant connection with. At the end of the night, he asks you for your number. However, nothing really happens from there. He never seems to make a move, or he is always too busy to hang out with you. Every time you text him, he takes hours to reply - it really begins to mess with your mind.

5. The One That Asks For "Pics"

You know what I am talking about. You will NEVER even think of sending these "pics." Despite ignoring questions, you still proceed to get pictures from him that you didn't even ask for. Enough said.

6. The Hookup Guy

He doesn't want to text, he doesn't want to talk, and definitely doesn't want to get food with you. He just wants to hook up! You don't know if he actually likes you, so you don't even bother wasting your time because you know it isn't going to go anywhere.

7. The Potential Husband

The one guy that you met freshman year of college that is definitely husband potential. You have no idea how to tell him that you like him more than a friend, and you're afraid that it could end your friendship if you let him know your true feelings. However, you always keep this guy in the back of your mind throughout college.

8. The Best Friend

That particular friend of yours that you know will always be by your side, and will always be your best friend. He never likes any of the guys you introduce him to - he can always sense a bad guy before you can. When you go to him after you break up with a guy, his response is always "I told you so since the day I met him."

* * *

You now know why you always dread the classic question your grandma asks at Thanksgiving dinner: "Do you have a boyfriend, yet?" It's so difficult to ever meet anyone worthy of dating when all of the guys you meet fall into these 8 types (except for #7, of course). That's why you should enjoy being single in college. Work on being happy with yourself, and bettering yourself along the way. The right guy will come along when you least expect it, even if you don't believe it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
