13 Times 'New Girl' Explained Being Home For The Summer

Going home for the summer is one of those things that everyone simultaneously looks forward too, but also dreads. We want to see our families, see some old friends, enjoy the comforts of home, but we also dread leaving our friends, losing a little bit of freedom, and dredging up old arguments and stresses with family. Here are 13 times the hit show "New Girl" perfectly explained this range of emotions.

1. When you can wake up and eat/shower whenever because NO CLASS.

2. When you eat Mom's food again.

3. When people ask what you are doing with your life, but your not really sure, so you just say positive sounding phrases with confidence.

4. When you've slept in past 11 a.m. every day, you finally wake up by 10.

5. When you see some old friends.

6. But are very conflicted about some others.

7. When you have to deal with stupid people from high school.

8. When you get into the same old arguments with your parents or siblings.

9. When your siblings start annoying you.

10. But then your parents make you "talk it out."

11. When you "apologize" for whatever you apparently did wrong.

12. When you just can't take it anymore.

13. But you still love your family to death, and that's why you even come home at all.

Because in the end, they can get on your nerves like no other, yet they love you like no other. Here's to being home for the summer!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
