Thanksgiving is definitely one of the best holidays. Everyone looks forward to the feast and to be with family. It's a chance for all of us college students to go home and reunite with family and friends while enjoying being home at the same time. Many of us probably have the same thoughts in our mind over this holiday.
1. Home Sweet Home
By the time Thanksgiving comes around almost all college students are ready to go home for a few days. You're in need of some home cooked meals, your pets and a couple loads of laundry done courtesy of your mom. It's the point in the semester where most of us can't wait to be home and have a break from school. And if you're a commuter student like me, you're excited for all of your friends to be home and to be reunited with them.
2. TGE turns to KMS
Thanksgiving Eve is such a huge going out night leaving us hungover on Thanksgiving. Being reunited and seeing everyone from home is fun, but then you wake up the next morning being too hungover to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. And it hits you even more once your little cousins are running around screaming before dinner.
3. Do Not Disturb
Laying on the couch hoping that your mom doesn't call you to come help her clean or cook. Just let me watch the parade in peace!!
4. "How's school going?"
Holidays always come with so many questions from your family like ,"How's school going?" And you always reply with "Great!" even though you probably just failed a test, had two breakdowns last week and are already having anxiety over all the finals that come right after break.
5. Let the feast begin
You walk into the kitchen ready for the turkey and the feast that comes with it. Everyone's thinking "Let's get this dinner started."
6. Can't stop, won't stop
It's halfway through dinner and you're so full but you must keep going...it's too tasty to stop now.
7. Bring on the food coma
A Thanksgiving feast always gives you a food coma. As soon as everyone is done they are headed straight to the couch to digest the mountains of food they just engulfed. You feel like you're going to explode if you move, so there's nothing else to do other than just lay there.
8. Ready and refueled
Now you have come out of the food coma, you're ready and rejuvenated for the craziness of Black Friday. Time to decipher the perfect plan to catch all the sales.
