8 Things That Happen When Your Best Friend Is Also Your Roommate

College is home to many beautiful things, one of which is the amount of people that you get to meet that you wouldn't get to meet otherwise. Maybe, if you're lucky, you'll even get to meet your best friend like I did! I'm double as lucky now because she's also my roommate. Rooming with your best friend can lead to a lot of fun situations that wouldn't happen if you roomed with a random!

1) WaWa runs are always on deck, whether it's 7 pm or 3 am, driving to that beautiful holy mecca is always an option...

WaWa is a rite of passage in New Jersey and if you can't take your roomie there at all times of the day, where can you take her?

2) Your room becomes a wasteland of clothes in the morning.

Living with your best friend also means living with a personal stylist and although it may seem kind of harsh when she says it, maybe she's right that you shouldn't go to class wearing high waisted jeans and a halter top with no bra.

3) Double the food!!!

There are really no boundaries when it comes to the two of you anymore, that means your food could possibly disappear, but how could you stay mad at her?

4) Rants are inevitable, and endless.

Whether it's about that bitch that took your seat in your 9:55 class or the professor who never grades your assignments on time, rants are bound to be a frequent occurrence.

5) You'll wake each other up frequently...

and at inconvenient times...when you have a 9:55 and your roomie doesn't have class, there could be some issues...

6) Speaking of issues, you'll bicker.

These little arguments will last about 10 minutes and are about the dumbest things imaginable. Some possible topics to bicker about are "is that mean girl actually Regina George or is she not that bad?" and "why don't you watch the Bachelor? It's a big deal" or even "how come all you eat is mashed potatoes?"

7) You'll always have someone to come with you around campus.

If she doesn't want to come with you to that frats fundraiser, or to print out papers at the libary, you can always be comfortable that she'll still tag along because she knows how badly you need her.

8) You'll support each other, but also be honest when you need it.

Be it about boys, clothes, family drama, or anything. Advice is always going to be flowing through your room, but you can't always sugar coat things. Sometimes you just need to give the blunt, honest truth about things and it will suck. But you need to know that in the end, you guys will be here for each other no matter what.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
