Spring Break is finally here! Maybe you and a bunch of friends are going to the beach, hiking through the mountains, or going to Disney World. If you're like me, you're back home and the most exciting adventure you have is a dentist appointment followed by getting my emissions checked. While I love being back home with my family, there's still a part of me that wishes I was at the beach. If you're trying to make your Spring Break still fun, here's a list of some things you can do.
1. Go hiking
Going hiking with some friends is one of my favorite things to do. Find a trail near you, pack a lunch, and make a day out of it. It's a great way to spend time catching up with friends and enjoying nature. Plus, you can always get a good Instagram post out of it.
2. Take your dogs to the dog park
My friend and I are both stuck at home this week. None of our dogs have met, so we're going to go to a local park and have them run around and play with each other.
3. Eno
If you have trees in your backyard, or a nearby park, I highly recommend going outside to eno. I love bringing a book to read (especially if your professors have assigned you reading over the break) and relaxing outside.
4. Netflix
If you've been so busy at school over the past few weeks and haven't been able to watch Netflix, now is your chance to catch up.
5. Bake
Bake something. Or cook. Make your family dinner to show you appreciate them.
6. Pick up an old hobby
Go outside and kick around a soccer ball. Throw a baseball around. Start knitting. Ride a bike. Do something that you used to do all the time before you started getting so busy.
7. Grab coffee with a friend
Catch up with someone you haven't seen in a while. This is a great chance to spend time with one of your friends without doing anything crazy. And besides, who can say no to coffee?
8. Clean
Over winter break, I was so bored I cleaned my bathroom. It was a pretty deep cleaning, too. Obviously, this is a last resort. But if you're bored enough, it at least gives you something to do.
