Everyone has that one friend who lives to celebrate the impending holiday season about 2 to 3 months before the average human begins to celebrate. Maybe it's you.
Whether it be jamming to your holiday playlists in October to being judged for putting up a Christmas tree and decorations before Thanksgiving, do not fear. You are not alone.
1. November 1st is the first day of the holiday season.
Halloween ends, Christmas season begins. Break out the decorations, blast the music, put on your ugly sweaters and fuzzy socks. It's the most wonderful time of the year!
2. Thinking about all of the cookies you will be making - and eating.
Break out the fun-shaped cookie cutters, icing, and sprinkles. For every one cookie you decorate, eat one too. *wink*
3. Thinking about how much food you will be eating at your family dinners.
Eating your body weight in mashed potatoes: challenge accepted.
4. Getting excited to finally bundle up as soon as the weather gets chilly like:
Break out the blanket scarfs and boots.
5. Your friends get annoyed with how excited you are.
You tend to bring up your excitement for the holiday season A LOT. As soon as the season comes, it doesn't take long for you to irritate your friends from talking about Christmas too much.
6. Associating everything around you with Christmas.
Every aspect of your life now revolves around the holiday season. Every tree should be covered in lights and everything should smell like hot chocolate and fresh balsam.
7. Planning out the perfect Christmas gifts for your friends.
They always say that giving is more fulfilling than receiving: nothing beats the look on your best friends' faces when you nail their Christmas with the perfect gift.
8. When your friends say that the holiday season doesn't start until after Thanksgiving.
Just because we fast forward to Christmas mode, doesn't mean we completely forget about Turkey Day. We just like to blast the holiday music in advance, eat cookies and decorate our Christmas trees. Leave us alone, we just get too excited about the holidays. Is that a bad thing? Absolutely not. Everyone will just have to deal with it.
