First of all, breathe.

You finally have the whole school routine down, the everyday classes, and the creeping anxiety before tests, especially midterms. Yes, because professors LOVE to give us that extra stress right before we go on that little fall break.

1. Plan Ahead

Write out all exams, speeches, etc. in your planner.

2. Stay In

I’m sure you’d much rather go to Tequila Tuesday, Wine Wednesday, or Thirsty Thursday, but that Spanish test is more important than the hangover you will have.

3. Sleep

Yes, I realize you have ALL this information to take in, but sleep is very important and I highly recommend naps, big fan of them.

4. Healthy Snacks

Don't eat a large pizza to yourself (not just yet). Eat some pita chips and hummus, brain food right now, brownies later.

5. The obvious, Study.

Do it with a friend, or group, or by yourself. Figure out what works out best for you, and take that route.

6. Relax

Studying is crucial, just remember your mental health is very important and take little breaks. Study for an hour, and then reward yourself with an episode of Rick and Morty, or a little bit of Yoga.

7. Call your mom/dad and cry.

I mean you don’t have to do this but sometimes it helps.

8. Realize grades don’t define you.

It will all work out in the end, YOU GOT THIS.

Pamper yourself when you're done and have a great/safe fall break!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
