Your Homework Load Is Obnoxious

8 Struggles That You Have During The Last Month Of School

Finals are coming up. That means you are up to your eyeballs in homework, and you just want it to stop. It seems like professors add assignments on top of other assignments, and all you want to do is cuddle up in a ball and cry. Here are eight struggles that can cross college students' minds during the last month of school:

1. Your brain is fighting you to allow it to shut off.

Throughout the semester, you have completed so much work and studied until you can no longer fit anything else in your head. It seems like your brain is fried and ready to take a break for a little while. Unfortunately, it is still needed for finals.

2. You are close enough to see summer, but not as close as your dreaded finals.

Is there a time machine when we can skip finals and go straight to summer?

3. You are so fatigued that all you want to do is stay in your bed and binge-watch Netflix.

You debate going out to get some food or watching "One Tree Hill." Usually, binge-watching "One Tree Hill" is the winner because, let's face it, "One Tree Hill" is the bomb.

4. You consider dropping out because you do not want to go to class. You are over it.

Obviously, you are not going to drop out, but the thought of not having anything to do does seem nice. Eventually, though, you might get bored and begin to hope you had something to accomplish.

5. Your homework situation is extremely obnoxious.

Assignment after assignment. Even when you complete all of your assignments, you still have assignments to work on. Also, don't forget to study for finals, which seems like a crazy idea when all you wish is for your homework to disappear.

6. What is a sleep schedule?

We can all agree that sleep is unknown when you are in college. You pull an all-nighter in order to complete the seven-page paper that is due tomorrow. By the time you graduate from school, you basically turn into an owl where you want to sleep all day, but you are awake at night. Not only are you sleep-deprived, but you are also eating everything in sight and consuming large amounts of coffee.

7. You are daydreaming in class.

As you are sitting in class and "listening" to the lecture, you start to daydream about sitting in the sand at your favorite beach, watching the sun set with a margarita in your hand. Maybe you are dreaming about how much you want a puppy, who knows. All you know is that you cannot pay attention.

8. Time for celebration!

Just when you thought you couldn't take it anymore, the day finally arrives and the semester is over. Finals are done. You get to go home and do whatever you want. Hallelujah!

Next time you're struggling with pushing through this last month, remember that you're not alone!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
