It's that time of the year again where the Christmas angst is at an all-time high. People desert their families earlier, to make sure to be in line for those door-busting deals all the retail-giants have to offer. From toys to televisions and all the high-tech gadgets in between, this year's Black Friday sales promise to be among the best ever. Of course, incorporated into the Black Friday holiday is cyber-Monday, which falls on the Monday after Black Friday.
As an avid shopper and Black Friday enthusiast, the hardest part about the evening is deciding which stores to hit first, which lines are most worth the wait. Naturally, some stores have the equivalent deals of the others, but many don't realize that until it's too late, until the televisions they sought after are all gone. In order to make your Black Friday (and cyber-Monday) experience more user-friendly, here's a list of eight stores (both in-person and online) with the best advertised deals.
1. Target
Need a new television or Apple Watch? Target has got you covered. This retail-giant will be offering door-busters starting at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving night. In comparison to its competition, Target will be practically giving away televisions, electronic bundles, and cell phones, along with other awesome deals.
2. Walmart
In close competition with Target, Walmart will also be opening at 6 p.m on Thanksgiving night. Walmart's door-busters also include the latest gizmos and gadgets, ranging from 4K Televisions to Xbox One S bundles. However, the one item Walmart does have on Target is drones. So, if you are in the market for a new drone, Walmart is the place to go.
3. Best Buy
Most known for its prices on electronics and video games, Best Buy is the place to wait in line for a 4K television or a laptop. They open their doors at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving night, giving out additional door-busters at 8 a.m. on Friday morning. Although the deals on Thanksgiving night and Friday morning differ, they still include laptops and televisions at great prices.
4. Amazon
As an online super-store, Amazon does not only partake in Black Friday and cyber-Monday, but also before. Everyday until November 24 (Thanksgiving Day), Amazon has been offering "lightning deals" as part of their countdown to Black Friday event. Of course, every day the deals change, with Black Friday and cyber-Monday being the icing on the cake. Sitting in the comfort of your own home can be just as fun as shopping with the crowds.
5. Toys-R-Us
For the parents of children to young to want cellphones and video games, Toys-R-Us is the place to pick out the perfect Barbie or LEGO set for your little one. Opening at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving night, Toys-R-Us will be offering sales on toys for all ages, including NERF guns, LEGO construction sets, and LeapFrog LeapPads.
6. Macy's
As one of the go-to department stores, Macy's is on the top of the list for Black Friday door-busters. Topping out with a 48-page Black Friday ad, Macy's will open up at 5 p.m on Thanksgiving night, and then reopen at 6 a.m. on Friday morning. If you are in the running for clothing, accessories, or household items, Macy's is the place to wait in line.
7. GameStop
Notorious for only selling video games and the consoles to play them on, GameStop always has good deals for the gamers of the family. Although they have not yet released their official Black Friday ad, GameStop will be open on Black Friday and will be competing against retail stores like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy who also carry video game bundles and add-on packages.
8. Hhgregg
Second to Best Buy, Hhgregg carries a large range of electronics and appliances to the consumer's fancy. Their doors will open at 7 a.m. on Friday morning, and their door-busters aren't something to look over. With a wide range of electronics and major appliances at discount prices, Hhgregg might be a good spot for those who may need household necessities, even if they aren't exactly for Christmas.
So, for the avid Black Friday shoppers, for those who only go out for specific deals, and for those who stay at home on Friday, but virtually shop on cyber-Monday, it is important to have a game-plan, to know where to stop first, and to prioritize by item. The deals and the items go fast, you need to want it. Black Friday 2016 is ready for you. Are you ready for it?
