We all know that we, as the younger generation, are constantly on our phones. Half of the time is most likely spent on Snapchat. If you're not snapping someone, you're watching other people's stories or various videos from the subscription pages. Here are some of the pages that I subscribe to and highly recommend:

1. Phone Swap

This is an interesting dating show where the couple swap cell phones during their first date. They each have complete freedom to scroll through whatever they choose: photos, notes, social media, and dating apps. Afterward, they decide whether or not there will be a second date. It's awkward when one person is super excited to see them again and the other person completely blows them off. Would you be able to go through with it? It makes you think about what you're hiding on your phone...

2. "Stay Tuned"

I don't really watch the news so this subscription gives me a little insight into what is going on in the world. It's not always extreme news; it can be trending stories which makes it more relatable.

3. "Solve"

Try to use your detective skills to solve a murder after looking into four suspects and being given multiple hints. You get to guess who the killer is and although you're not always right, it's a fun way to pass the time. It teaches you how important attention to detail is because it's often the little things that incriminate someone.

4. "Riddle Me This"

Another way to use your detective skills. There's usually an overarching question involved with the riddles that need to be solved. If you can correctly solve the riddles, you can solve the question. Again, attention to detail is important in choosing the correct answers. Some riddles are harder than others but all in all, they're pretty fascinating

5. "Museum of Human History"

This is a strange one. An alien professor teaches four alien children lessons on each episode about events and topics that have happened in human history. They're not at all accurate but they sure are funny. They give a peculiar perspective.

6. "Oddly Satisfying"

Videos to give you at least one satisfying moment each day. Once you watch it, you start to notice all the little things that satisfy you in your life. It's a nice way to be positive.

7. "In 3 Minutes"

Three minutes to explain various shows, movies, or video games in the simplest terms possible. It's fascinating how simple they actually are and some of the descriptions are hilarious.

8. "Buzzfeed"

A very relatable website that focuses on tweets, texts, and other messages that might give someone a good laugh. It also provides lists of things that you can score and share with friends to compare what you got.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
