College is seen to be the time of your 20s, but it will fly by and be gone before you know it. You will start making plans for the next school year, but then remember that it is your last year, and you will be graduating and moving on with your adult life. The memories you make in college will last a lifetime, so make a lot before your time in college is up! If you are a college senior, these feelings are ones that you know too well.
1. You're going to have to start looking for a job for after graduation.
But what if I don’t want to be a grown-up yet? This is a thought that is always going through a senior’s mind. It is a big adjustment going from college life to the adult world.
2. Your status on your campus portal now says “Senior.”
That is probably the weirdest feeling ever. Didn’t you just start college like a month ago? Now you have to start looking for jobs to support your bad habits after graduation.
3. Your friends start telling you they don’t want you to leave.
As if you weren’t already feeling sentimental about leaving the life you have known for the past four years. These are the friends who have stuck by your side since day one of freshman year. It’s going to be really hard not spending every day with them.
4. Saying goodbyes to your favorite professors and spots on campus is a must.
You definitely don’t want to be that graduate who comes back all the time because they miss the college life. Get out and go to your favorite spots on and around campus before you graduate. Thank your favorite professors for the time and dedication they have given to you.
5. Time has flown by.
It seems like just a few months ago you were starting your freshman year, but now look at you. You’re about to graduate and leave this part of your world behind. It is really hard for your to believe that it is already time for you to graduate (sad face).
6. Your “to-do” list just keeps getting longer.
The number of things that you either need to research or get done before graduating is getting longer. It seems impossible to conquer, but you’re a mighty senior now.
7. You are now able to look back and reminisce on all the memories you have made.
They say that college is the time of your life. For some, this is true, but for others, they are simply there to get work done. The activities and organizations you were involved in make your college experience better. These memories you have made will be with you forever.
Now, senior, go off into the world and show them what you have made of yourself these past four years.
