Showtimes very own series "Shameless" includes seven seasons following the dysfunction of the Gallagher family. The second I started watching this show I was hooked. It will have you laughing, crying, cringing and smiling. Before you know it, it will become a big part of your life. So here are 8 reasons YOU must start watching Shameless.

1. It deals with real life issues.

There's always something going on in "Shameless" but in between the craziness and comical moments it does addresses real life issues. Some include the struggles of growing up with absent parents, addiction, teen pregnancy, poverty, homophobia, and death. A lot of the the things that go in this show can be relatable to lots of different people.

2. It's ALWAYS entertaining.

There's never a dull moment in the lives of the Gallaghers. Something drastic is always happening and each episode leaves you begging for more. I don't think I have ever been bored while watching this show. Something is always happening to entertain the viewer.

3. The Gallaghers.

The main characters themselves in this show are one of the most important reasons to watch. Frank is the heartless father of the bunch who has an obsession with money and suffers from alcoholism. Fiona is the heroic older sister who takes the mother role to her younger siblings. Lip, short for Philip, is the sexy, charming older brother who also happens to be a genius. Ian is the second oldest boy who dreams of serving his country and spends his time fighting his inner demons. Debbie is the cute little sister who was blessed with the biggest heart. Carl is the little brother who enjoys attempting to melt action figures and beating kids up. The last Gallagher member is Liam! The baby brother who is definitely in this show for the cuteness factor.

4. Their neighbors.

The Gallaghers are really close with their neighbors, Kev and Vee. This amazing duo are always there for the Gallagher crew and basically a part of the family. They are included in almost any episode and are an amazing support system whenever any member of the family needs a hand.

5. Karen and Sheila.

Karen is Lips "best friend" and often lover. I find myself having a love hate relationship with her character. Sometimes I feel so bad for her but at other points I want to hit her! Sheila is her hilarious mother who suffers from agoraphobia. She has a horrible fear of going outside. Shelia's character really is one of the best parts of this show.

6. Mickey Milkovich.

Mickey Milkovich, the creepy, town bully starts out as a character you'll fear. Mickey has an amazing transformation in this show. Before you know it you'll find yourself cheering for him and wishing him the absolute best.

7. The drama.

This show will always keep you on your feet. The constant drama and struggles the Gallaghers will go through will break your heart. They'll start to feel like your own problems! Relationship issues. Family drama. And other issues you can't even imagine going through.

8. Once you start you'll be hooked.

This show is absolutely addicting. Once you start "Shameless" you'll find yourself binge watching episode after episode. Episodes are often left at cliff hangers so you feel an urge to immediately start the next episode after you finish one. You'll find yourself getting through all seven seasons in no time.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
