We all have role models in our lives whether we realize it or not, whether it be a celebrity or someone close to you. I recently rewatched the movie Legally Blonde and realized something that I had never noticed before, Elle Woods is an amazing role model. Weird to say, I know. Her character is just so strong and she has so many amazing qualities to her that I wish I had myself.

1. She worked hard for what she wanted.

She set a goal for herself and she stuck by it without ever giving up. Her whole life had revolved around being a sorority girl, so wanting to go to Harvard was such a huge change for her. Everyone told her that she couldn't make it in Harvard, and she set out to prove everyone wrong.

2. She never gave up.

She didn't let anyone's words get in the way of her success. Even her own parents told her that she is a pageant girl and Harvard would not be right for her. She also got kicked out on her first day of classes and had to deal with Vivian, her ex-boyfriend's new girl. None of these things got in the way of her success.

3. She always did everything with confidence.

Whether she was trying to get back at Vivian or helping Paulette get the UPS worker's attention, she was always confident in what she did. She never had a doubt in her mind that she could do whatever she wanted to. She even says in her graduation speech that passion is the key to life, and that's very evident in how successful she was at everything she did.

4. She stayed true to herself

Even though Harvard was a completely different environment than what she was used to, she never let it change who she was. She never failed to bring out her beauty queen-esque personality or her preppy style. She even wore her signature color, pink, head to toe when she defended Brooke Taylor-Windham in her case against murdering her husband.

5. She never went back on her word.

Even though Brooke needed an alibi to help defend her against murdering her husband, she was too embarrassed to have her secret let out. Brooke's reputation was based off of helping people get fit and get a "perfect" body, but she ended up having liposuction on the day her husband was murdered. If anyone knew about her secret, her reputation would be ruined. Even though Elle was defending her, she never once let out her secret.

6. She didn't care what anyone else said.

Vivian and everyone at school said she wasn't cut out for the law school life. They all said she just needed to go back to California where she can continue working towards her original career, which was a designer. She blocked everyone's negativity out and worked on herself.

7. She didn't let anyone take advantage of her.

When she was out shopping for a new dress, the sales clerk tried to sell her a dress from last season because she thought she was dumb and would just use daddy's credit card. Elle called her out right then and there and made it known that she couldn't be crossed.

8. She didn't settle for the boy that didn't think the most of her.

Her ex boyfriend, Warner Huntington III, broke up with her because he felt like she was good enough to support him in becoming a Senator. As much as she assured him that she could be what he wanted her to be, he said she wasn't good enough. She went to Harvard to please him, and he eventually wanted her in the end. Thankfully, she realized her self worth and went with the guy that was always supportive of her, Emmett.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
