8 Reasons Why Dutch Bros. Rules The West
Dutch Bros

Dutch Bros. Coffee has taken the PNW by storm with their consistency, unique flavors, and beyond-friendly customer service. Founded in the Beaver State, Dutch has spread throughout Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, and Colorado. Although there is always going to be the haters, the Starbucks snobs as some might say, those of us that are Dutch Bros. down to the bone know that the windmill adorned cups filled with yummy goodness ALWAYS live up to the hype.

1. You feel like the baristas are your best friends…even when you’ve only talked to them for two minutes.

Their customer service is out of this world! Within seconds they ask you about your day, give you free drinks when you’re having a rough time, and offer the utmost hospitality to everyone. They have genuine smiles and are enthusiastic about their job. Their attitudes (and drinks) leave you coming back again and again.

2. It was founded in your backyard.

What’s better than local? Enough said.

3. Starbucks is just too mainstream and expensive.

Anyone can get Starbucks everywhere. Plus, why spend $5 on a grande when you could spend $3.50 for a medium.

4. You really get your bang for your buck.

When you order an iced drink, you really get the size you ordered. When you order a medium iced drink, they put it in a large cup. What's not to love?! This way you get the medium amount of the drink plus the ice, unlike some competitors who fill their medium cup with 75 percent ice and 25 percent of your actual drink.

5. There’s never been a drink you didn’t like.

Like coffee? Go for an original Kicker. Need extra caffeine? Try the white coffee (and guess what? It’s the same price unlike some places…) Want something fruity? Have them whip you up a surprise Rebel or a refreshing tea! You’ve tried it all and you love it all.

6. They give you a free confidence boost.

Getting a pink straw in your drink is just the confidence booster you need! According to the rumor mill, baristas give you pink straws if they think you’re cute. What more assurance do you need that you’re rockin’ that new look than getting it from your favorite morning pick-me-up.

7. And if that pink straw isn’t enough, take a peek down at your hot drink lid.

Every blue lid for a hot drink has little affirmations on them. You can find anything from the encouraging “You got this” and “Today is yours, Own it,” to funny comments like “Hello, Bestie,” and “I’ve been dreaming of you.” If this this little touch doesn’t make you smile, I don’t know what will.

8. There is always a Dutch Bros “on the way.”

You know where a Dutch is on every route you take—to school, to work, to the store—and if there isn’t one on the way, you’ll make it “on the way.”

Needless to say, Dutch Bros. is the best. Not only are their drinks extra tasty, but their employees and the company atmosphere will leave you coming back for more.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
